All items must be:
- Two years old or newer.
- Brought in on hangers.
- Clean, pressed and free of stains, tears and visible wear.
Please do not be offended if we reject any items. It is necessary that we allot our limited space to garments we think will sell within the prescribed time period.
Seasonal Schedule:
Spring: February, March, April
Denim, suede and leather jackets, jeans, short and long-sleeved blouses and knit tops, cashmere and cotton sweaters, open-toed shoes, clogs, tennis shoes, fashion boots, trench coats and raincoats. March is the best time to bring in prom dresses.
Summer: May, June, July
Shorts, capris, light-weight pants, sandals, tank tops, halter tops, swimsuits and cover-ups, sundresses, straw hats and purses, beach bags, sunglasses, seersucker, linen and terry cloth.
Fall: August, September, October
Denim, corduroy, suede, leather jackets, jeans, cords, cashmere, cotton and light wool blend sweaters, clogs, leather boots, raincoats, trench coats and light wool skirts and pants. August is the best time to bring in Homecoming dresses.
Winter: November, December, January
Snoow boots, parkas, heavily lined coats and jackets, ski pants, leather gloves, knit mittens and scarves, heavy woolen sweaters, fur trimmed jackets and sweaters, anything velvet, lined wool. Fur coats are accepted the month of December. The time to bring in Holiday wear is November.
Terms:
Women’s clothing will be accepted on a 50% – 50% consignment basis. Items will be kept for 60 days. After 30 days, items are discounted 25%.
Women Helping Women:
Donated items go to the YWCA Domestic Crisis Center and you get the full tax deduction. However, if you choose pick up your unsold item at the end of the term date you will be charged a handling fee of 50 cents per item. If items are not picked up by one week after the term date, they will be donated.
